Green Industry Licensing

The General Assembly debated a bill to require licensing of irrigation contractors in 2008. Here is the version that passed the Senate on July 15, 2008. While the bill does set up a fairly comprehensive occupational licensing requirement, it exempts many projects and persons (for example, licensed general contractors). It is unclear whether this form of licensing in and of itself will lead to more water efficient installations.
